The U.S. Navy’s Pacific Partnership is the dedicated humanitarian and civic assistance mission conducted with and through partner nations, non-governmental organizations and other U.S. and international government agencies to execute a variety of humanitarian civic action missions in the Pacific Fleet area of responsibility.
Pacific Partnership is designed to strengthen alliances, improve U.S. and partner capacity to deliver humanitarian assistance and disaster relief and improve security cooperation among partner nations.
I am really appreciate the US humanitarian. Great job! I wish I knew this earlier. Where and when will Pacific Partnership take place next time?
We’re getting underway in March, and we’ll be going to Tonga, Vanuatu, Timor-Leste, and the Federated States of Micronesia.
I believe this is good for Pohnpei. Although the team has just started their work here on the island, their presence here brought back memories from my child hood years. I used to see those big trucks on the road, the stern looking officials in uniform somehow made me feel secured. Every time I’d see a truck go by, I would raise my thumb and shout, “Sea Bees Can Do!” I always thought that that phrase meant the Military are heroes… I still do. In regards to the work they’re doing on the island, it will help the people a lot. I really appreciate this dedicated team.
You guys need any more medics? Soon as I get back from Afghanistan I would love to do some work like this.
Any chance for a US Medical Student “Civilian” to hope on board
I wish i could participate if its possible,,,
The HM’s who were the bulk of the medical team were not mentioned at all in this blog other than the PMTs. As a fellow HM myself that was part of PP11 I feel very unappreciated.
Thank you for your comment – and I can assure you that I am working to provide an accurate representation of Pacific Partnership 2012′s crew. We are scheduling authors from around the ship, to include MSC and NGO authors.
I am currently enlisted in the Navy, with 3 years left on my contract. When i get out of the navy I am interested in using my B.S. Degree in Travel and Tourism to get involved in the planning side of pacific partnership. Do you have any advice on people to contact or websites to visit when my job hunt begins. Thank you very much,
Joyce
Do you guys remember you last visit in Pohnpei, FSM? Well the reason with this question is that there was a refferal form that was given out to one of the patient’s and till now nothing had been done with it cuz the Pohnpei State Hospital had held the form and now its in my hands and now im trying to help out the patient. So what im trying to ask is, what is the form about?
Ma’am, I’ve researched your question and the documents provided contained follow-on information for the patient’s to provide to their doctor for continuity of care. Thank you for your question, and I hope this helps.
Some genuinely great blog posts on this website, thanks for contribution.
You all are doing an amazing job cover this year’s Pacific Partnership! (Wish you had been there for PP10 when I was onboard
)
Keep up the great work!
As Lt. Laura Boerste’s mother in law I’d like to say how proud we are of her and ALL the other military and civillian folks who are on this great mission to help those deserving people. GOOD WORK!

I was part of the Pacific Partnership2012 (Philippines) and it is truly my dream came true. I grew up in a neighborhood that people can’t afford medical care and lost some of my friends and neighbors because of that.Consoling their families I said ” We should be strong for the rest as help will come one of these days” Although I am a US citizen now, I came with the PP12 to help my people. There are more poor to the poorest than me who I met and help. Thank you PP12 and UCSD pre dental society for giving me the opportunity to serve.
It is so good to hear that now a days, still, there is an organization like Pacific Partnership who cares about the betterment and welfare of the people specially those people who belongs to the third world countries who needs a greater help with regards to healthcare assistance. As a nurse, i’m wishing to be a part of your team to support your advocacy and give quality healthcare services specially to those who belong to grass roots level.
Pacific Partnership is doing great things! Several of my friends have found their time as medical officers doing PP12 some of the most rewarding of their lives. What a rare and life-changing experience, to directly improve the lives of people outside our day-to-day lives in the U.S.
